What is a Dual Class?
This is one of the benefits exclusive to awakened classes. The player may select one of their 3 subclasses to raise up to level 99 in the same way as their main class.

Conditions of Dual Class
To have a dual class, you must first meet the basic preconditions (awakening of the main class / level 80 for a subclass, completion of the 3rd class transfer) and start the Split Destiny quest. The NPC in charge of this quest is Giant's Minion Hadel in Exploration Zone 1 of the Sagira Ruins in the hunting grounds of Talking Island. Only 1 of the character’s 3 subclasses can become their dual class. So you should be careful when selecting a subclass before you start the quest.

Dual Class Category
When you complete the Split Destiny quest, the subclass icon turns into the dual class icon in the Character Information window. The quest only helps you raise the subclass up to level 99. So, once the subclass becomes level 85, you should work on awakening quests just like you do for your main class. Only when it becomes an awakened class do you benefit from the dual class.

Dual Class Certification
When the level of your dual class is 85, 90, 95, and 99, go to Subclass/Dual Class Certificate Manager Trandon in Talking Island Village to get your dual class certified and receive a dual class certificate. Afterwards, you can learn dual certification skills from Trandon while in main class status. The effects of dual certification skills apply only to the main class and dual class.

Unlike subclass certification, dual class certification allows you to learn not only passive skills but active skills as well. Depending on the skill, the learning stage and the quantity of required dual class certificates differ. Depending on your character's class and play preferences, you can choose to learn the same skills repeatedly or learn multiple skills. It's important to decide early what is the most efficient for you. You can reset or re-learn the dual certification skills you learned from Trandon, but it costs 20 million Adena.
